Residential Construction FAQs

What should I expect from a residential remodeling service?

While the details of your remodel can vary, the typical process includes a planning phase, demolition, construction, and finishing. You’re involved in the planning process to make sure everything meets your dreams. We take care of all the permits and coordinate with the subcontractors to make the process as streamlined as possible.

How long do residential projects typically take?

The length of time a residential project takes to complete depends on the scope of the work. Full remodels or home additions can take a few months, while smaller projects like flooring or adding and removing walls may take a few weeks. During the planning phase, we’ll build a timeline for your project to account for the building process, permitting, and team coordination.

We combine our years of experience with emerging technologies to help streamline the process and shorten timelines when possible without sacrificing craftsmanship and quality. Any delays will be communicated ASAP.

How can I prepare my home for construction?

During the planning phase, we’ll tell you which parts of your house we’ll be working on and what to expect during the building phase. From there, it’s best to declutter the construction area and make sure there is a clear path from your door to the building area for tools and materials to pass through. We also recommend securing any valuable or fragile items in your home to keep them safe during construction.

Can I live in my home during the construction?

It depends. Most of the work we do allows you to remain in your home during the entire construction process. However, you may find that the scope of work or disruption to your routine makes it preferable to find temporary relocation.
